The Lebanon Solar, LLC Facility is a 2 MWac utility scale photovoltaic system located in Lebanon Township, Hunterdon County. The facility is located in the Highlands Preservation Area and situated on 9 acres of previously agricultural land. The facility is located near a State highway and is bordered by an active railroad. This project uses an onsite 34.5kV distribution line for interconnection with the power grid.
Engineering & Land Planning participated in the initial site selection process, identifying the potential regulatory issues associated with the project. E&LP applied for and received Municipal use variance and site plan approval, County planning board approval and soil conservation certification for this project. The site also required a Highlands Preservation Area Approval which E&LP received for the project. E&LP also participated in the preparation of the NJDCA construction permitting phase of the project and provided construction support to the EPC contractor.
