Garden Solar – Hengst Farm

The Hengst Farm Facility is a proposed 10 MWac utility scale photovoltaic system located in Mansfield Township, Warren County. The facility is proposed on 60 acres of a 300 acre active farm which is split between industrial and residential zones. The facility borders a State highway and several housing developments and utilizes an offsite 34.5kV distribution line for interconnection with the power grid.

Engineering & Land Planning participated in the initial site selection process, identifying the potential regulatory issues associated with the project. E&LP applied for and received Municipal use variance and site plan approval, County planning board approval and soil conservation certification for this project. E&LP also applied for and received NJDOT minor access and highway occupancy permits for the project. E&LP delineated NJDEP regulated features on the project site and received a Wetlands Letter of Interpretation and a Flood Hazard Area Verification.
