Leigh Street Streetscape

Leigh Street project by E&LP

After fire struck an existing commercial building in downtown Clinton, the owner wanted to replace the structure with a larger more functional building. The site had many challenges including a significant flood hazard area as well as a constrained lot typical of historic town centers. E&LP prepared a survey and site plans to redevelop the property and managed the project through construction.

The design completely updates and redefines the streetscape along the property frontage so that is integrates with aesthetic of downtown Clinton. This project was the first and therefore set the standards for the current streetscape along the rest of the main street in Clinton. Additionally, E&LP navigated multiple permitting layers to situate a larger building while maintain and increasing pedestrian circulation routes to a nearby municipal parking lot.
