The Musconetcong Watershed Association was gifted a property known as the Asbury Graphite Mill in order to provide a headquarters for their organization. The non-profit hired E&LP to act as project engineers for the redevelopment. The dilapidated structure was in severe disrepair and had a number of environmental and site constraints.
E&LP obtained multiple NJDEP permits to permit the redevelopment and install a new parking lot and other site improvements. A native habitat restoration was performed on the property and an adaptive reuse was found for a building that was previously considered unfit for occupancy.
E&LP also assisted in obtaining a LEED certification for the property. Low impact development was a central theme in the project that earned LEED Platinum status.
