It is exciting to see the construction progress for the three-story Hawk Pointe Area 4 in Washington Township, New Jersey. This project is a mixed-use building at the intersection of Route 31 North and Hawk Pointe Boulevard in Warren County that is part of the Hawk Pointe Development Community. The first floor, which can be seen in the construction photos, will be commercial space anticipated for three tenants at this time: a medical office, professional office, and a restaurant with drive thru. The elevator and stairwell structures for the second and third floors can be seen, which will serve 26 residential apartments including 15 affordable housing units that are an important component to the Township’s effort in satisfying their affordable housing obligation. Hawk Point Area 4 has been designed so that it contains pedestrian connectivity to the remainder of the Hawk Pointe Community, which features “an efficient traffic network that is also friendly and accessible to pedestrians, carts and cyclists.”[1] Construction is scheduled to be completed in Spring of 2022.
