Originally named the Inclusion and Diversity Committee (IDC) before its rebrand, our Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Committee (JEDI) has become essential for cultivating E&LP’s positive and inclusive work environment. It has been developing over the past two years as we continue to evolve and expand our staff as well as our projects while still staying true to our human-centered approach. It serves as a resource for advocacy, empowerment, and acceptance. JEDI has organized and initiated goals like the scheduling of baseline trainings to ensure all staff are equipped with the same language and understanding around this topic. Also in the works are the formation of employee resource groups (ERGs) like our newly established Women’s Initiative Network (WIN) that seeks to increase ways for members to connect on shared experiences. Volunteer opportunities with local high schools and colleges that continue to invest into and mentor future engineers are being strategized along with finding creative ways to further impact the communities and clients we serve.

We are honored to not only hold the necessary space open for every voice to be heard and valued, but to have employees passionate enough to exercise proactivity in cultivating a safe environment. Read more about our committees here on our website.
