NJDEP has recognized E&LP’s participation in the New Jersey Sustainable Business Registry with a Certificate of Innovation in Sustainability. We are proud to be one of two Engineering companies who are members of the New Jersey Sustainable Business Registry, a “partnership among the DEP, the New Jersey Small Business Development Centers and Rutgers University. … Organizations have identified and implemented at least five environmental practices required to receive recognition,” which include “implementing green building practices, purchasing and selling products that are grown or developed sustainably, installing renewable energy and energy-saving lights, and planning purchases of perishable foods carefully to reduce waste.”[1]
“To become a member, you need to create an online business profile and submit the following information:
- A brief written description of Five Sustainable Actions/Practices your business has adopted
- Identify One Measurable Environmental Benefit from a practice
- Identify One Cost Savings from a Practice
- Renew Membership every Two Years by adding One New Practice and One New Measurable Environmental Benefit”
