E&LP had the honor of attending Villanova University ASCE Student Chapter’s first-ever Professional Development & Networking Meetup in partnership with Villanova University Career Management. The event was well organized, allowing time for attending organizations to have private one-on-one conversations with students and candidates as well as a more open networking portion. Students could ask direct questions about various career avenues within the industry including specialized disciplines like water resources and construction management. They also were able to gain insight into the day-to-day possibilities of different roles. Our team was impressed with the Chapter’s ability to create a naturally social atmosphere that encouraged organic dialogue and maintained a positive atmosphere.
