We are thrilled that our Director of Water Resources, Laura Craig, PhD, and her team will be partnering with Stroud Water Research Center on Pohatcong’s Watershed Restoration and Protection Plan. This project will entail improving the Township’s waterways, including the Lopatcong and Pohatcong Creeks and the Musconetcong River. They will use a combination of modeling and field assessments to identify factors that negatively impact water quality and create opportunities for addressing both point and non-point source pollution through enhanced stormwater management, septic system improvements, reduced introduction of animal waste, and agricultural best management practices.
