Our nomination focused on the unique design features and solutions found within Northwest Resiliency Park such as the 1-million gallon subsurface detention tank, the 50,000 gallon irrigation cistern for on-site water re-use, the more than 50,000 gallons of additional stormwater storage in surface green infrastructure systems, the sunken basketball court basin, integrated boardwalks and bridges with stormwater gardens, integrated climbing wall to raise the grade out of flood elevation and provide play features, and the Play Valley with custom bird’s next climbing dens and play stream with working water pumps and jets.
We are proud of our team and ability to have local recognition of the work that reminds us of our strong power to create solutions that inspire through the innovation of the natural and built environment.
