E&LP is excited to announce that Joshua Zinder Architecture + Design has won a 2020 Gotham Green Award® for 30 Mac, a LEED for Homes Gold-Certified 10-unit apartment building adapted from a former Masonic Temple in Princeton’s Witherspoon-Jackson Historical District. The apartments include “studio, one-bedroom and two-bedroom units with contemporary materials and finishes … that maintain its historic appearance and charm” while providing the community two affordable housing units.[1] Within walking distance of Princeton’s downtown including its “restaurants, shopping, Princeton University and Historical landmarks,” 30 Mac illustrates how excellent design for adaptive reuse can enhance a community and honor its history in addition to modeling successful sustainable construction throughout pandemic conditions.[2]
E&LP provided the following services for the project: Boundary/Topographic Survey, Preliminary and Final Site Plan Engineering Plans, Stormwater Management Plan, Soil Erosion and Sediment Control Plan, Local and Regional Permit Coordination, and Phase I UST Environmental Oversight.
