E&LP has provided civil engineering and surveying services for a transformative redevelopment project in Phillipsburg, New Jersey in which the existing five-story Elks lodge would be renovated into “31 apartments and two retail spaces.”[1]
Earlier this month, the adaptive reuse project moved forward after the “Town council … approved a change to Phillipsburg’s Riverfront Redevelopment Plan to accommodate the project, by permitting a residential density of 28 homes per acre rather than 20.”[2]
We are hopeful that this beneficial project will be approved in the near future, which would “take about a year to complete” and bring a “mix of one- and two-bedroom apartments.”[3]
