E&LP joined Governor Phil Murphy, Mayor Ravi Bhalla, Senator Bob Menendez, other city officials and project partners on Monday for the Northwest Resiliency Park ribbon cutting ceremony. There was no greater satisfaction than to have been able to share the moment with the community and nearby residents that gathered to explore the grounds. Having contributed to the tangible vision of a public space that serves the community as well as the environment became realized when smiling faces interacted with the play areas that cover the stormwater detention basin underneath. It was even more inspiring to see that the work we’ve done has also influenced local students to brainstorm ways anyone can help further the work towards flood mitigation.
