E&LP is providing professional engineering and surveying services for bank restoration at Mercer Lake in Mercer County Park around the Boat House that will mitigate bank erosion. The erosion is primarily in the treeline between the walking path and the lake, and natural materials and planted improvements are being employed to restore the bank landscape. The bank restoration project is approximately 75% completed, and the construction will shut down this winter in order to finish in the Spring of 2022.

As part of this project, E&LP has performed wetlands flagging and designed a Site Plan, Grading and Drainage Plan, and Soil Erosion & Sediment Control (SE&SC) Plan as well as construction details and technical specifications. Additionally, E&LP managed the NJDEP General Permit 20 Bank Stabilization and Flood Hazard Area Individual Permit required for the work in the transitional zone of adjacent waters, construction administration & inspection, and cost estimating. We look forward to highlighting the completed project and having the bank improvements completed for all to enjoy next year.
