E&LP is the civil engineer working with OLIN and Studio Ludo on the Alain Locke schoolyard greening project for Trust for Public Land (TPL). The design activates the entire 1.25 acre schoolyard with a combination of recreational, play, and natural outdoor learning spaces. In addition, the stormwater design captures run-off from an adjacent parking area for over 2-acres of exisitng impervious surfaces disconnected and managed through green stormwater infrastructure (GSI). Proposed site improvements include retrofitting an existing play structure, a basketball court, turf field, outdoor classroom, and two large raingarden areas.
