E&LP was selected to lead the planning and design of a universal playground in Abington Township, PA. The goal of this project is to create a visionary space where children of all abilities can engage equitably with the playscape. The project included a site selection process where GIS data, field investigation, and community input were used to recommend the ultimate project site. The schematic phase of the project includes developing an iterative design approach informed by input from focus groups and public meetings. After arriving at a design with community support, the Design Team will prepare construction documentation for final construction of the playground.
