The park system has become a centerpiece of the surrounding townships and a major public amenity to adjacent communities.
In 2009, the Mercer County Parks Commission (MCPC) assembled and 800+ acre complex of parcels with the intention of creating a master plan for a new park system. In conjunction with ETM Associates, E&LP helped the MCPC envision and plan an extensive park master plan with both active and passive recreational elements while promoting environmental conservation and stewardship.
The final master plan proposed over 10 miles of new trails, elements for activities such as boating, fishing, hiking, biking, horseback riding, a dog park, and multiple opportunities for environmental education and highlighting the park’s natural features.
E&LP has been a steadfast partner of the MCPC. Based on the above master plan, designed in 2009, E&LP has documented and implemented several features of the park with work continuing today. The park system has become a centerpiece of the surrounding township and a major public amenity to adjacent communities.
