E&LP was awarded the concept plan for a passive recreation park on the 176 acre former land of the Garden State Beagle Club. The township preserving the land as open space guarantees that the community will enjoy an expansive new park which will incorporate passive recreation opportunities and green infrastructure while providing access to natural ecosystems.
The plan has taken into account multiple rounds of online public survey data, neighborhood focus groups and large public meetings to provide a synthesis of community feedback received to date. The plan provides an increase in woodlands and meadows on the site, key amenities such as walking/biking trails, a one-acre nature playground, pavilions, sculpture walk, small amphitheater, flexible lawn, stormwater gardens and pond, and areas for successional growth and interpretive signage.
