The Borough of Lansdowne redeveloped a underutilized corner parking lot as a small 7,000 SF destination playground to service the local community. Working with Studio Ludo, E&LP provided full site/civil services to help create fully accessible site circulation, green infrastructure components, shade structures, and utility improvements. E&LP also designed new sidewalk, curb, and ADA ramp facilities for the entire right-of-way surrounding the project site. Given that this was a fast-tracked, grant-funded project progressing from design through construction in a short sixth-month period, E&LP coordinated permitting and utilities up front in the design process to limit regulatory review periods during the later phases and meet the Borough’s timeline.
