E&LP is teaming with Aqueous Consultants, LLC on a restoration project for Frog Pond located in the Bartlet Mall in downtown Newburyport, Massachusetts to improve water quality and establish a “stable water’s edge.”[1] After years of deteriorating conditions, “the goal is to bring paddleboating back to the pond, as well as other recreational activities such as skating … [that] would generate revenue for the maintenance of the pond long into the future.”[2]

E&LP is reviewing the pond and its park constraints to prepare an ecological evaluation of the water quality and potential treatment opportunities and conceptual site plans based on the site topographical and infrastructure plan. We are analyzing applicable drainage utilities and encapsulation of contaminants and land forming options as part of the process.

In addition to this project, we are also working with Aqueous Consultants, LLC on the New Ocean County Park in Manchester Township, New Jersey.
